Our Early Morning Activity Pack has 200 ideas and activities for children to try at the start of the school day. They're open-ended activities, covering a wide range of subjects and topics, that can be completed while the teacher is doing the register. Of course, they could also be used at other times of the day, for example, when children have finished the tasks set or as a short activity after the lunch break.

- TWO HUNDRED Activity Ideas - The ideas in this pack are all on individual pages in a PDF document. This means that they could be shown on a large screen (e.g. an interactive whiteboard) or printed for use by individual children or groups. They are also available in sets of smaller cards to save your printer ink!
- One EMA Pack checklist - A checklist is also available for teachers, so that you can tick / highlight which ideas have been used with your class!
An alternative set of resources is also included for use with older learners. These include images of older teenagers and adults instead of children and do not include references to 'school'. Thanks to our member Carey for this suggestion!

This is perfect for my class in the mornings. I have a group of students who sit at their desks in the morning and wait for the bell to ring. I have offered them everything so they are busy but with no success until I downloaded this. Thank you:)
As an HLTA who has to be able to cover a class at no notice, this resource is invaluable! Some great activities for children in all classes. Makes my life so much easier for those hard to cover early morning sessions.
I love this activity pack!Even though my students don´t know english so well, they can look at the pictures and write to them. And when we have english lessons we look at the pictures to see if we can write something in english togheter.
A thankful teacher from Sweden.
This will save me so much time looking for suitable, quality images. Love the fact there is a contents page in each section so you can record what you've done. Some of these activities will also be good for creative writing. Another quality resource, thank you!
I was totally blown away by the quality of the content and the graphics in this pack. As a casual relief teacher, being called on to teach anything from Kinder-Year10, I can see this resource as being a wonderful tool for lesson starters, early finishing or if I need to fill in a short amount of time (as happens when we are a relief teacher) Mark and Helen, I am so glad that I have found my way to your brilliant teaching Packs. I will be letting others know about them. Your work is going to save me hours of preparation time
This is a great resource that gets my class thinking each morning. There is a good variety and the ideas are suitable for the range of ability I have in my class.
I use this pack my with second class most mornings. It's a great activity that the kids enjoy starting the day with. I love that it covers many different subjects and the children also really enjoy the graphics with the questions. I display the activities on the IWB which saves having to print them all out. It's a fantastic resource, as are all the packs from this website. It's my number one go-to for teaching resources.
I used these with my year 3/4 class and they love the options and discussing what others had done and said. It is a great pack, it took me ages to laminate all the cards but its a resource which will last for a long time! Thank you
This is by far my favourite pack as it has saved me so much time! I no longer have to think of a challenge for my children everyday; they love the open ended nature of these tasks. A must for any busy teacher's classroom!
I see a class of nine autistic students everyday for twenty minutes - age 11yrs - 16yrs with mixed abilities. Today I used the "Can you make a chain sentence" worksheet. We all had so much fun and all the students were engaged. They asked if they could do another one next week. It was lovely to see them having fun while learning literacy.
