Ramadan Topic Guide
The Muslim month of Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. The month is important to Muslims because it marks the month in 610 CE when Muhammad (PBUH) began to receive the words of the Qur’an from the angel Jibril in a cave on Mount Hira, near Makkah (Mecca).

The Qur’an is the sacred text of Islam.
