Did you know that germs can live on hands and surfaces for 24 hours? A simple way of stopping these germs from spreading (and helping to reduce infections) is to wash our hands regularly. To help everyone stay clean and healthy, we have put together these free hand washing posters for schools. Three resources are available in the set below:
- How to Wash Your Hands – This simple poster teaches children how to wash their hands in six simple steps. Remind your children to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds. This is about the same amount of time as it takes to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ twice.
- Wash Your Hands When… – A poster that helps children to think about the different times when we need to wash our hands (e.g. after using the toilet, before eating, after handling animals).
- Have YOU washed your hands? – This prompt reminds children to check if they have washed their hands.
