Test your children’s knowledge of fact families with this FREE interactive PowerPoint activity! When you play the presentation, three numbers will appear at the top of the firework (e.g. 2, 3 and 6). Can your children work out the matching fact families (i.e. 2 x 3 = 6, 3 x 2 = 6, 6 ÷ 2 = 3 and 6 ÷ 3 = 2) before the firework launches into the sky?
The PowerPoint presentation includes twelve slides with different numbers that can be used to make multiplication and division fact families. You can change the numbers to make the calculations easier (or more difficult) and you could also use these to make addition and subtraction fact families (e.g. 4, 6 and 10 would make 4 + 6 = 10, 6 + 4 = 10, 10 – 4 = 6 and 10 – 6 = 4).
Top Tip – The timer is currently set at 30 seconds, but you can change this on each slide by clicking on Animations –> Animation Pane –> Spark –> Timing and setting the Duration to your preferred amount. However, if you increase the timing, the fuse sound effect will only last for 30 seconds.
