Thanksgiving

Thursday November 26
Thanksgiving

The fourth Thursday in November is Thanksgiving Day in the United States of America. On that day, the harvest is celebrated, as well as all of the positive things that have happened in the previous year. The tradition can be traced back to 1621, when local people and settlers who had arrived on the Mayflower shared food in the new settlement of Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Today Thanksgiving is a national holiday in the USA, marked by a celebratory meal and time spent with family.
